Do you worship Ramadan or Allah?

شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَىٰ وَالْفُرْقَانِ ۚ فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ ۖ وَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ ۗ يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.
(Al-Baqarah 2:185)

the verse was sent down for us to complete the count. by hook or by crook, complete the count of the fasting.

what is interesting is about the takbir. to glorify Allah. it is common sense to decalare Allah's greatness in eid where usually we have eid takbir. people are saying Allahu akbar. but here it is not limited to the eid tskbir but more on the glorification of Allah that bestowed us with furqan (criterion) and huda (guidance). 30 days are to keep us constant to obey Allah. so declare Allah's greatness on how he guide you by being grateful and declare Allah is greater than anything after these 30 days.
